According to a study by the Pew Research Center, a majority of Americans cannot correctly identify Indonesia on a map. Out of 1,000 adult participants, only 52% were able to place Indonesia within its correct location. This lack of geographical knowledge is not limited to Indonesia – only 33% of participants were able to identify Ukraine, and 29% were able to identify South Korea.
