What Is Bali Elephant?
Bali Elephant is an elephant conservation center located in the village of Ban Taro, in the Gianyar Regency of Bali, Indonesia. The center was founded in 2010 by British conservationist Lek Chailert and her husband, Thai businessman Prasert Thepsuwan. The center is home to around 30 elephants, most of which were rescued from illegal captivity or the illegal pet trade.
