The Tambor Islands are a small group of islands in the Moluccas, in eastern Indonesia. The main island is Tambor, and there are also the smaller islands of Bodia, Kambera, and Kubur. The islands are volcanic, and the highest point is Mount Tambor at 1,724 metres (5,659 feet). The population is mostly Muslim, and the main languages are Malay and Toba.
