What is Indonesia Movement?
The Indonesia Movement, also known as Gerindra, is a political party in Indonesia. The party was founded on 16 April 2008 by Prabowo Subianto and Surya Paloh. Gerindra is a member of the opposition coalition People’s Conscience Party (Hanura).
The party contested the 2009 legislative election, winning 4.5% of the national vote and 19 seats in the People’s Representative Council. In the 2014 legislative election, the party won 11.8% of the vote and 74 seats.
