The predominant land use in Indonesia is agriculture. The country has a total area of 1,919,440 square kilometers, and of this, 814,690 square kilometers, or 42.3%, is used for agriculture. The sector employs around 60% of the country’s workforce and contributes around 25% to the GDP.
