The Bali tiger (Panthera tigris balica) is an extinct tiger subspecies that was endemic to the Indonesian island of Bali. It was the smallest of all tiger subspecies. The last known Bali tiger was killed in 1937.
The Bali tiger was first described by Dutch naturalist Hendrik Albert Lorentz in 1910. It was the smallest tiger subspecies, measuring 1.2–1.5 metres (3.9–4.9 ft) in length and weighing 45–65 kilograms (99–143 lb). The fur was reddish-orange with black stripes.
